Ravi Shankar
Ravi Shankar is a South Indian American poet.
He is the author of The Many Uses of Mint (Recent Work Press, 2018); Durable Transit (Poetrywala, 2018); and What Else Could It Be: Ekphrastics and Collaborations (Carolina Wren Press, 2015), among other books. He is also the editor of The Golden Shovel: New Poems Honoring Gwendolyn Brooks (University of Arkansas Press, 2017).
The recipient of a Pushcart Prize, Shankar is a professor of creative writing at Tufts University. He lives in Providence on the ancestral lands of the Narragansett Indian Tribe.
