Rabha Ashry

Rabha Ashry is an Egyptian poet and earned her BA in world literature and creative writing from New York University Abu Dhabi, and her MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Ashry is the author of the poetry chapbooks Grief and Ecstasy (Akashic Books, 2023) and loving the alien (Black Sunflower Press, 2021), as well as the memoir Hope You Still Love Me  (Santa Fe Writers Project, 2027). The recipient of the Brunel International African Poetry Prize (now the Evaristo Prize for African Poetry), Ashry lives in Chicago.
