Nikita Deshpande

Nikita Deshpande is an Indian poet and screenwriter, and earned her BA in English literature from St. Xavier’s College. 

Deshpande is the author of the novel It Must’ve Been Something He Wrote (Hachette India, 2016). She is the recipient of the 2023 Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize and a fellowship from Vermont Studio Center. 

Deshpande lives in Mumbai.
