Mary-Sherman Willis

Mary-Sherman Willis earned her MFA from Warren Wilson College. She is the author of Graffiti Calculus (CW Books, 2013), which was a semifinalist for Tupelo Press’s Berkshire Prize for Poetry and nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and Caveboy (Artist’s Proof Editions, 2012). She is also the translator of Jean Cocteau’s Appogiatures (The Word Works Press, 2017). 

The recipient of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and fellowships from the MacDowell Foundation and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Willis teaches creative writing at George Washington University and New York University Shanghai.
