Luis Chaves is the author of five collections of poetry, including Fuera de la gravedad (Ediciones Perro Azul, 2021); Monumentos ecuestres (Encino Ediciones, 2011); and Asfalto (Un Road Poem) (Ediciones Lanzallamas, 2006).

Also the author of a novel and two collections of short fiction, Chavez’s work has been translated into German, French, English, and Slovenian.

 He lives in San José, Costa Rica.
