Benjamin Garcia

Benjamin Garcia is a queer Latinx poet and the author of the collection Thrown in the Throat (Milkweed Editions, 2020), selected by Kazim Ali for the 2019 National Poetry Series and a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award. In 2023, Garcia was the recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. A graduate of Cornell University, he is a faculty member in Alma College’s MFA program.
